Hidden Claws are a rock band from Manchester, England, formed in early 2009. Members include (but are not restricted to...) Nic Foley (Guitars, keyboards, backing vocals) and Jack Foster (Vocals, percussion, keyboards). Hidden Claws's music is comparible to that of bands such as Barenaked Ladies, Say Anything and Ima Robot, combining catchy melodies with quirky and clever lyrics. By consistantly tickling and poking at the boundaries of songwriting techniques, Hidden Claws have created a vault of songs which have yeilded a loyal and widespread fan base. The songs are written by both Foley and Foster, either individualy or as a collaborative project, drawing influences from both musician's experiences and feelings towards people, places and situations. Live performances are enthralling and energetic and include a full band of talented musicians, but gigs are also often reduced to calming acoustic sets, perfect for bars and other small venues. As of January 2010, Hidden Claws are working on the low-budget recording of their debut 3-track demo, aimed at showcasing a select few of their songs to the big wide world.
